Following on from the news posted on Friday 7th October I can now report that a representative from Boston BID Ltd has been invited to attend a meeting with Lincolnshire Police to discuss the protest march planned for 19th November. This meeting is not an open meeting but BID members have the opportunity to have their views expressed by the BID representative. The meeting is being held tomorrow and if you wish to submit any comments then please email the BID manager on niall@bostonbid.co.uk or use the contact page on this website.
We appreciate that this is short notice but we have only just received the invitation to attend the meeting. Members whose email addresses we hold on file have already been contacted by email for their comments. It is our intention to report back to members after this meeting with pertinent information about the march and the steps that are being taken to ensure it goes off peacefully. This will hopefully give members the opportunity to make their own plans for 19th November.
The Department for Communities and Local Government has introduced a competition for 12 towns to act as pilot towns to implement some of the recommendations contained in the Mary Portas review of the high street.
On Thursday 15th March Boston BID Ltd is holding a General Meeting at the Assembly Rooms Boston.
This competition is operated by the Royal Horticultural Society with the aim of improving the environment and street scene in towns, villages and cities throughout the United Kingdom.
